Still with the RAF, Frank worked away from home a lot, by this time supporting three children. Finding it hard to make ends meet, even with Phyllis working nights in a chicken processing factory, Frank decided to look for opportunities overseas. Leaving his young family, living at that time in Bletchley, Frank accepted a job with International Aeradio in Sharjah. Happily the whole family were able to join him after a three month settling in period.
